The strongest wind I’ve ever experienced today. Sustained wind felt like at least 80kph, and gusts easily 100kph (my face is wind-speed calibrated from years of motorcycle riding). I went out at lunch to hit the nearby park and get the full blast, bringing my main camera gear, but with all the salt spray I left it in the bag and opted for the phone. The wind was absolutely howling, making incredible sounds as it rushed through trees, grass, chainlink fences, and power lines. The container ship here appeared to be dragging anchor and kept trying to reset it by motoring forward and then getting pushed back towards the shore. I wondered if it would run aground, but it seemed to have enough power to maneuver.

Extreme weather is exhilarating.
